Join a small group of theatre artists and enthusiasts in Melbourne CBD for two hours every Thursday evening and work on your craft at your own pace.
Maybe you’re working on a monologue or a part in a play, maybe you’re writing a story or creating characters, or maybe you’re just playing with abstract ideas and exploring. Maybe you’re not doing any of that yet but think it might be fun to start.
Whoever you are and wherever you’re at, this is a safe space to come and explore and work on your craft and meet like minded creative individuals to grow together with.
Stephen McLaughlan Gallery
Level 8, Room 16 of the Nicholas Building
37 Swanston St (Cnr Flinders Lane)
(Enter through Cathedral arcade, next to Subway)
Every Thursday, 6 pm – 8 pm
$10 per session
For those who haven’t done this before or don’t know exactly what they’d like to work on yet, I will provide a guided session on movement, voice, speech and creative expression. I will also provide some scripts and written materials to play with if you’d like some but haven’t got your own. So you can work on your craft individually or with a group – it’s entirely your choice.
This is a be-who-you-are, judgement-free zone and everyone is welcome, regardless of experience or background.
Note: Numbers are kept small so that people can work on whatever they want to without a lot of distraction, and so that any interaction with people you meet can be meaningful. This event runs every Thursday and any week is a good week to join.
